Color Me Happy

Below is a list of things that I have stumbled across in the last week that are making me extremely happy.

What are you loving this week? Let me know in the comments!

Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life

We have a release date of November 25, 2016 and a preview. Literal giddiness ensued when I heard the news. The only thing that would be better is having the new episodes released this week. With a short clip of our favorite mother-daughter pair sitting at a table drinking coffee, it felt like a beloved friend had come to visit. This new revelation instantly began a debate between my friends and me over which guy is the best (#TeamJess all the way, they say #Team Logan).

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Seven years after we all thought it was over we have a new book (script)! Starting off right where the 7th book ended, we get to follow Harry and his son, Albus, through a new adventure. Since J.K. Rowling says this will be the last book that will feature Harry, I am going to savor every wonderful minute of it.

The Chemist

This new book by Stephenie Meyer will be out in November 2016. I know many readers  are not big fans of Stephenie Meyer’s work (the writing is poor; what is a sparkly vampire?), but I enjoy her books. Though I was hoping for Midnight Sun or The Host II, I know this bookworm is looking forward to losing herself in whatever world she has created for us this time.

Thy Will-Hillary Scott & The Scott Family

”Just trying to make sense of all Your promises. Sometimes I gotta stop. Remember that You’re God and I am not.” Hillary Scott wrote these profound words after having a miscarriage.

As someone who struggles with infertility and questions God regularly about his plan, this song resonated with me. I have had this song on repeat for days and I don’t see it stopping anytime soon. Having a reminder that He has a plan and I no matter how much I try to control the situation, I don’t. It’s also such a beautiful reminder of His unfailing love and grace for us.
