Springs is here and in the South it is already in the 80’s and humid. I miss “winter” already. March has flown by and I’m taking a moment to share what is coloring me happy.
I was inspired by Marie Kondo’s book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up to start clearing out all the unnecessary clutter in my closets and my life. The next category on my list to clean out is books and this one will be more challenging than throwing out my clothes. I getting my husband to help me and to be there for moral support.
I added 4 books to my bookshelf this month.
Brittany Cavallaro’s take on the Sherlock family is clever and fun and probably my favorite from this month. It feels like the adventures never stop. In true Sherlock fashion, Charlotte has made some enemies (and she’s still in high school!) and they plan on making her suffer for it. I finished A Study in Charlotte just in time for the release of The Last of August earlier this month.
Don’t forget to check out Book of the Months April picks! I’m currently reading one of April’s selections, Startup by Doree Shafrir and I’m loving it. Get your first Book of the Month for only $5 or get a 3 month subscription for $9.99 plus a free tote.
- Even If by MercyMe – sometimes a song just speaks to your soul. “Even if you don’t, my hope is you alone.”
- Evermore by Dan Stevens – I know it’s Disney and they seem to have a knack for tugging on your heart strings, but this song gave me goose bumps.
- While My Guitar Gently Weeps by Regina Spektor – This cover is beautiful.
